Biodiversity is essential to life, it is the diversity of any form of life on Earth: genetic diversity, diversity of species, of ecosystems and environments.
Humanity rely on nature and living world living for its own existence. We will discuss what biodiversity provides to the humans; disturbances caused by the humans; new ways to produce and to rethink agriculture; how to estimate the value of nature; ides again decline...
Screenings of short films and discussion moderated by Paul de Brem, scientific journalist. With Robert Barbault, Director of the ecology and biodiversity management Department at the Muséum, Denis Couvet, Director of the species conservation restoration and monitoring populations Unit at the Muséum and Jean-Michel Salles, CNRS researcher in environment and natural resources economy.
